Todos Santos is a small colonial town on the Pacific side of the Baja peninsula, about an hour north of Cabo San Lucas. Sugar money once built its brick buildings and mission church, and today they hold galleries, cafés and restaurants. The beaches nearby, such as Cerritos, San Pedrito and Punta Lobos, are known for surfing, fishing boats and whale watching.
The historic center is walkable and full of character. Hotels just outside town sit among palms and farms near the beach, and the coast south toward Cerritos is popular with surfers.
The best weather is from November to May, and humpback whales pass the coast from December to April. Many of the beaches have strong currents, so swim only where it is safe.
