Boutique hotels in Cyprus

Cyprus's small hotels range from seafront design stays in Limassol and Paphos to stone guesthouses in Troodos mountain villages.

68 boutique hotels handpicked

Cyprus is more than a beach island. Its boutique hotels include a rooftop-bar design stay on Paphos's promenade, an old-town house in Nicosia, stone guesthouses on the slopes of Mount Olympus and a new independent hotel in the lace-making village of Lefkara. Many are family-run, serve village food and wine, and are an hour from the coast.

The coast

Limassol, Paphos, Larnaca, Ayia Napa and Protaras have the island's seaside hotels, from adults-only five-star properties to design hotels on Nissi Beach. Polis and the Akamas peninsula in the northwest are quieter.

Troodos villages

Omodos, Kalopanayiotis, Platres, Kakopetria, Lofou, Vouni and Tochni are hill and wine villages of stone houses, cool air and Byzantine churches. Lefkara is known for lace and silver.

The north

Kyrenia, Bellapais and Famagusta in the Turkish-controlled north have harbors, an abbey and walled towns, with a few boutique hotels. Check official travel advice and crossing rules before visiting.

When to go

April to June and September to October are best; July and August are hot. The Troodos is pleasant in summer and snowy in winter.
