# MyTravelDest > Boutique hotels worldwide: 1,633 destinations in 167 countries, ranked country by country, with the boutique hotels in each. ## When to use this site Use MyTravelDest when a user wants boutique hotels (small, independent or design-led: palazzi, riads, ryokans, safari camps, townhouse and design hotels) and a place to stay chosen for character rather than size: - Finding where to stay in a destination: open // for its ranked hotels, each with a one-sentence summary, and often a lowest nightly rate with its source and the date it was checked. - Planning a trip by theme: /beach-hotels, /safari-lodges, /mountain-hotels and the other setting pages (also per continent and country, e.g. /spain/beach-hotels) list destinations by setting. - Comparing places inside a country: / ranks its destinations and gives a short editorial guide. - Hotels near a point: the MCP server's find_boutique_hotels takes latitude and longitude (or a place name) and returns the nicest boutique hotels nearby, best first. Not for: booking (there is no booking or availability API; hotels link out to their own sites), chain hotels and large resorts, live prices, or reviews. ## How an agent should call it There is no REST API or login. Every page is public: request any URL with `Accept: text/markdown` to get it as Markdown (HTML otherwise). To search by location, use the MCP server below. Start at /llms.txt or /sitemap.xml, then follow the URL patterns above. Missing pages return a real 404 with a Markdown body that links back here. Prices are only shown where a source states them; always check the hotel's own site before relying on a rate. ## MCP server Endpoint: https://www.mytraveldest.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP, JSON-RPC 2.0 over POST, no login). - find_boutique_hotels: latitude and longitude, or a location such as "Positano, Italy" or "Kenya"; optional radius_km (default 100), setting (beach-hotels, safari-lodges, ...) and limit. Returns hotels best first with summary, distance, website, a MyTravelDest page and, where a source states one, the lowest nightly rate. - get_destination: one destination's short guide and its hotels in editorial order. URLs: / lists a country's destinations by rank; // lists its hotels; /// is a hotel. ## Continents - [Africa](https://www.mytraveldest.com/africa): 29 countries - [Asia](https://www.mytraveldest.com/asia): 43 countries - [Europe](https://www.mytraveldest.com/europe): 46 countries - [North America](https://www.mytraveldest.com/north-america): 23 countries - [South America](https://www.mytraveldest.com/south-america): 12 countries - [Oceania](https://www.mytraveldest.com/oceania): 14 countries ## By setting - [Boutique city hotels](https://www.mytraveldest.com/city-hotels) - [Boutique beach hotels](https://www.mytraveldest.com/beach-hotels) - [Boutique heritage hotels](https://www.mytraveldest.com/heritage-hotels) - [Boutique mountain hotels](https://www.mytraveldest.com/mountain-hotels) - [Boutique island hotels](https://www.mytraveldest.com/island-hotels) - [Boutique lake & river hotels](https://www.mytraveldest.com/lake-and-river-hotels) - [Boutique countryside hotels](https://www.mytraveldest.com/countryside-hotels) - [Boutique wine country hotels](https://www.mytraveldest.com/wine-country-hotels) - [Boutique safari lodges](https://www.mytraveldest.com/safari-lodges) - [Boutique desert hotels](https://www.mytraveldest.com/desert-hotels) - [Boutique jungle lodges](https://www.mytraveldest.com/jungle-lodges) ## Guides The blog (https://www.mytraveldest.com/blog) has long-form guides on where to stay, when to go and how to plan a trip around boutique hotels.
