Sedona

Sedona is a small town surrounded by some of the most striking scenery in the American Southwest: red sandstone buttes, spires and canyons that glow at sunrise and sunset. Hiking, mountain biking, jeep tours and spa treatments draw visitors, as do the town's spiritual "vortex" sites.
Uptown Sedona and Oak Creek have shops, galleries and restaurants, with quiet creekside hotels close by. Boynton Canyon, a few miles west, is more secluded, with resorts tucked right into the red rocks.
Spring and autumn are ideal, with mild days and cool nights. Summer is hot, with afternoon monsoon storms from July to September. The Grand Canyon is a two-hour drive north.
