Boutique hotels in Munda

Munda is the main settlement of New Georgia, set on the shore of Roviana Lagoon, with an airstrip first built by the Japanese in World War II, relics in the jungle and a lagoon of clear water and reef. It is a dive and snorkeling base, with sites for wrecks, and a good place to see traditional carvers and skull shrines. Kayaking in the lagoon is a pleasure.

Agnes Gateway Hotel, formerly Agnes Lodge, is a family-owned hotel near the airport, 100 percent Solomon Islands owned, with 38 rooms in several wings from backpacker rooms to air-conditioned cottages, a seafood restaurant and an on-site dive center. Titiru Eco Lodge on Rendova Island, about 35 minutes by boat, takes a maximum of 16 guests and is run by a family. Qua Roviana Motel has direct beach access.
