Where to stay in Arno Atoll

Arno Atoll lies a short way east of Majuro and feels far from it, a quiet ring of islets with white-sand beaches facing a calm lagoon. Villages keep traditional ways, with outrigger canoes, handicrafts and community feasts, and the lagoon is a place for swimming, snorkeling and fishing. Tourism here is very limited.

Where to stay

Arno Beachcomber Lodge has private rooms, a small dormitory and camping on a spectacular white-sand beach facing the lagoon, though one traveler found it hard to book and reached the owner through Hotel Robert Reimers in Majuro. Arno Beach House & Villa is about 30 to 45 minutes by boat from Majuro, and Arno Beach Villa is about an hour away.

Good to know

Water transport from Majuro has been priced at $300 each way in one listing, so confirm costs. Listings are sparse and sometimes outdated, so contact the hosts early and bring your own supplies.
