Mont-Tremblant
A small bed and breakfast with a handful of rooms, a tea room and a wraparound porch.
Mont-Tremblant, about ninety minutes northwest of Montreal, is the highest peak in the Laurentian Mountains and eastern Canada's leading ski resort. Its pedestrian village of brightly painted buildings sits at the foot of the slopes, and Lac Tremblant and the national park beyond offer hiking, canoeing and swimming in summer.
The pedestrian village is closest to the lifts and restaurants. Hotels on the shore of Lac Tremblant and in the old village of Saint-Jovite are quieter.
The ski season runs from late November to April. Autumn is spectacular, with the Laurentians at their most colorful in late September and early October.
