Boutique hotels in Mulifanua

Mulifanua is a village on Upolu's western tip, home to the ferry terminal for Savai'i and a short drive from Faleolo International Airport. It is a practical stop more than a destination, but the coast here has gardens, a calm lagoon and a beach resort for those who want to be near the airport on arrival or departure.

Where to stay

Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort, managed by Marriott, is the most frequently listed option, with 133 rooms, ocean-facing balconies, a lagoon-style pool and a day spa in extensive tropical gardens. It is larger than a boutique hotel. Transit Motel is a small, simple place with free parking and an airport shuttle.

Good to know

The ferry to Savai'i leaves from the terminal and is a good way to see the strait. Roads from Apia take about 45 minutes. Boutique stays elsewhere on the island are better bases for a longer visit, such as those at Lalomanu and Lefaga.
