Korčula
A boutique hotel in a restored 19th-century palace in the old town, with several small residences.
Korčula Town sits on a small peninsula and is laid out in a herringbone street plan to catch the breeze and block the wind. Its stone houses, cathedral and towers make it one of the Adriatic's most photogenic towns, and the island is known for its white wines.
The old town has a handful of heritage hotels and guesthouses. Lumbarda, a short drive away, is surrounded by vineyards and sandy beaches, and Pupnat has a quieter, more rural feel.
The island is reached by ferry from Orebić on the Pelješac peninsula or from Split. The Moreška sword dance is performed in summer.
