Chobe
A well-reviewed small lodge near Kasane and the Chobe River.
Chobe National Park stretches along the Chobe River in northern Botswana, and in the dry season thousands of elephants come to the water each afternoon. The riverfront is rich in hippos, buffalo and birds, and boat safaris offer unusually close views.
Lodges are set along the riverfront or at the edge of the park, close to Kasane. A few camps inside the park focus on a quieter, more intimate experience.
The dry months from May to October are best for large herds, and Chobe pairs easily with Victoria Falls, about an hour away by road.
