Hwange
A small camp in a private concession in Hwange.
Hwange is Zimbabwe's largest national park, a vast sweep of Kalahari sand and woodland with one of Africa's biggest elephant populations. In the dry season, animals gather at pumped waterholes, and camps often have viewing hides.
Small camps in private concessions offer night drives and walking, which the main park does not allow. Many are built beside a permanent waterhole.
The dry months from July to October are the best. The park is about two hours from Victoria Falls.
