Krabi
A quiet, adult-focused resort right on Tubkaak Beach, with outdoor bathrooms and island views.
Krabi province has some of Thailand's most dramatic coastal scenery: sheer limestone karsts, mangroves and dozens of islands offshore. Railay, cut off from the mainland by cliffs, is a magnet for rock climbers and beach lovers, while Ao Nang is the busy hub for island-hopping boats.
Railay has the most beautiful setting. Ao Nang is convenient but crowded; Tubkaak and Klong Muang to the north are quieter, with views of the Hong Islands.
The best season is November to April. Longtail boats run to Railay from Ao Nang and Krabi Town, and the Hong and Phi Phi islands are easy day trips.
