Where to stay
The northwest around Tragaki and Tsilivi has the most refined small hotels, away from the busy resort of Laganas. Zakynthos Town is a pleasant base with a long waterfront.
Good to know
Access to Navagio Beach has been restricted after rockfalls, so check before planning a visit. Boat trips to the Blue Caves leave from the north. May, June and September are ideal.
