Boutique hotels in Jaffna

Jaffna lies at the northern tip of the island, with its own language, cuisine and architecture, quite different from the south. A Dutch fort, a big Hindu temple and palmyra-lined roads make it a worthwhile detour.

A handful of hotels have opened in recent years, near the city center and the lagoon.

Good to know

The weather is hottest from April to June. Jaffna is a long drive or a train ride from Colombo.
