A hillside hotel above Kalkan Bay with a triangular infinity pool and a private beach club.
Kalkan is a former Greek fishing village on the Lycian coast, its whitewashed houses stacked up a steep hillside above a small harbor. It is quieter and more upmarket than many Turkish resorts, known for its roof-terrace restaurants and nearby Kaputaş Beach, a perfect cove beneath the coastal road.
The old quarter near the harbor is charming. Hillside hotels and villas have bay views and pools, and beach clubs make up for the lack of sand.
The ancient sites of Patara, Xanthos and Letoon are close by. Dalaman Airport is about 90 minutes away.
