A traditional hotel in the middle of the village, with a spa.
Wengen is reached only by cogwheel train from Lauterbrunnen, and it looks directly across at the Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger. It hosts the Lauberhorn ski race each January and is much quieter in summer.
Where to stay
Hotels are strung along the village street, with those near the station the easiest for luggage. Chalets on the upper slopes have the best views.
